Python scripting support has been expanded, larger multilayer project-handling has been improved, and a number of plug-in bugs have been squashed, the company said. The plug-in version can render finished shots from within the hosts as well as exporting data to other select post-production software.

Mocha Pro 5 features advanced modules for Object Removal, 3D Camera, Stabilization, and Lens Correction. In the After Effects plug-in, tracking data can now be applied to other layers inside the plug-ins interface, rather than requiring an export to the clipboard. Mocha Pro 5 is the flagship planar tracking and roto application from Imagineer Systems. Mocha's planar-tracking features now employ OpenCL GPU acceleration for faster motion tracking, with support for 16- and 32-bit source images. Some work has been done under the hood, too. The new render license option allows projects to be rendered on a networked render farm, or on another workstation, without requiring the use of a full Mocha license. Users will now be allowed to run Mocha Pro as standalone software or as a plug-in off of one floating license server, Imagineer said. With the release of Mocha Pro 5.2, Imagineer Systems is increasing flexibility for larger VFX facilities by adding floating license support for teams and a new render-only license option.
